Our betting shops are a familiar fixture on many high streets. We are the largest UK operator with around 2,370 shops throughout the UK and Ireland, representing around 25% of the market, across the UK.

Over-the-counter betting and gaming machines in our shops account for approximately 75% of William Hill's annual gross win and we continue to innovate to grow the business. Most of our shops are now open for over 12 hours a day and offer real-time sports information, coverage and results through satellite links, a range of numbers bets drawn every day, and gaming machines.

In 2010, Retail delivered a positive performance in a UK market faced with ongoing consumer uncertainty. Amounts wagered grew 8% and net revenue increased by 3%, which comprised a 1% decline in OTC net revenue and a growth of 11% in gaming machines. We continue to invest in our Retail estate, which increased by a net 35 shops to 2,377 at the year-end and we resited a further 26 shops. The estate was c1% larger in 2010.
